Meet the School Advisory Panel


Jill Kelham


After running a small Kindergarten in New York for three years, Jill joined Thomas's Prep School in Chelsea in 1978. The school had opened only the previous year and the next few decades saw rapid expansion and Jill became Head of Thomas's Kensington, then on Thomas's Battersea and finally Vice Principal of the group of Thomas's London Day Schools before retiring in 2013. 


Jill has long been involved with Thomas's Foundation bursaries programme and is now also director of Thomas's Foundation programme called Pathway which offers enrichment sessions for very able, disadvantaged children from local partnership primary schools. 


Jill lives in Hertfordshire, and is married with a daughter. 



Mark Stevens, FCA


Having qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1982, Mark became a partner in Nash Broad, an accountancy practice, in the 1980's. He remained in the profession for all his working life before retiring in early 2020, having spent his last years in practice as a partner at Moore Stephens. 


Mark's early years as an accountant were largely focused on accounting and auditing but his role developed into taxation and general business advice, planning and compliance. 


Mark's client base was varied but primarily focused on owner managed businesses. As well as acting for a number of personal tax clients he also acted for a number of football clubs and a number of clients in the education sector, including those with Academy status and charitable trust. 


He was also authorised by The Institute of Chartered Accountants to oversee and sign-off company audits. 


Mark lives in North Hertfordshire, and is married to Pat with two children. His hobbies include various sports both as a participant and spectator.
